I don't think it is a scam, because I know people who have seen the
device.  It seems to be an issue of demand exceeding ability to produce.

Just remember to use a Visa or MasterCard instead of your debit card
when 
ordering from Orbit.  That will ensure you of getting your money back if
it 
is a scam.  Debit cards are connected to your bank account and when
dealing 
with banks when it comes to debit card fraud, it takes longer for the
issue 
to be resolved.  I know.  I read about it.
