Actually, in California businesses are prosecuted regularly for violating
sections of the ADA and under application of state civil rights laws
consumers whose rights were violated are entitled to up to $4000 for each
violation. This is why many blind people in California received settlements
in the NFB V. Target suit that was settled last year due to their web site
inaccessibility that they did not want to address.
