To be clear: Verizon agrees that the only fully accessible phone they offer
is the HTC Ozone. Some, but not all, of the menus speak with the LG phones.

I'm not a Verizon customer, but I do support John's efforts. I think 
John has a valid point. I think the point is more clear on AT&T, which 
by the way, doesn't require a blind person to have a data plan if they 
purchase a smart phone. If a blind person wants an accessible phone, and 
if the only accessible phones are smart phones where a data plan is 
required, but they don't want a data plan then why should they be forced 
to pay for a data plan just to get an accessible phone? I think the 
issue is a bit cloudier on Verizon because you do have the option of the 
LG phones, but I don't think they're as accessible as the smart phones 
running Talks or Mobile Speak.

Obviously, if you're using the data plan you should pay for it, but if 
you don't use it you shouldn't have to pay for it just to get an 
accessible phone.
