[Electronics-talk] Accessible Stove/oven

Hi Gerald,
So what's the deal with this pilot? Do you have to light it every time that
you want to use the oven? Sounds like something that your local gas company
needs to check out.

Ever since my landlord stopped everyone in my apartment building from using
charcoal barbecues on our balconies, we have to use a gas barbecue in the
common area, and we have to light it with one of those long kitchen matches
or something similar. This may sound a little silly, but since I can't ever
seem to find the damn pilot hole, the easiest way for me to do it is to
place a small wad of paper, either Kleenex or TP works best on the grill
above where I think the pilot is, light the paper, close the lid and turn
the valve all the way up. Usually the thing will fire up in a few seconds,
but it still makes me a little nervous. Try something like that if you're
feeling daring.

Tom
