I agree that Dave should decide this one. I'm a little confused
now as well, as I'm new to this list: does "electronics," that
is, technology which is allowed to be discussed on this list,
include software or computer applications/programs like uVerse or
Sirius XM Streamer?
Thanks,
Chris
Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year!

Well, to fill you in, as someone else did already, AT&T U-Verse
is a service which normally consists of TV, internet and phone
service. There are many aspects of this service which fall
inside the purview of this list. However, I'd like to have Dave
chime in on this one so we can get some kind of direction here.
As for the Mac lists, frankly, I don't think it's a Mac question
as such. Nothing wrong with mentioning the mac here anyway; in
the proper context that is.

It seems off topic to me since it seems like we're talking about
a web
site and a service as opposed to a piece of electronics, but
maybe I
don't know what AT&T Uverse is. Either way, it isn't my call.
Since it seems like we're talking about a web site becoming
inaccessible, at least to Mac users and Safari, I'd suggest
asking it on
a blind Mac user's list. Even if it is on topic for this list,
a blind
Mac users list may get to a wider and more pertinent audience.

I don't think this is OT, but then again, I'm not Dave and have
no
control over what's OT and what's not. This list is the
self-described
"discussion of accessible electronics and appliances," so I
think AT and
T Uverse falls into that category.

Subject: [Electronics-talk] About to get new site for AT&T
To all AT&T U-verse subscribers on here. This morning, it
appears they
are making major changes to their account management web site.
Who
knows what will happen when the new design is brought online.
Will it
be worse or better for us? I imagine that which ever one of us
sees the
changes first will report back to the rest on the findings.
PS. Dave, sorry if this seems a little bit OT; but, after all,
this
seems to be the list where AT&T U-verse matters find their way
in to
discussion among blind subscribers of the service. IF you know
a more
appropriate venue, please do not hesitate to suggest it.
thanks.
