[Electronics-talk] About to get new site for AT&T

According to the list's info page this list was intended primarily for
consumer electronics and appliances. I'll post the description below. As
Dave has already determined, where these appliances and consumer
electronics pull in related services, such as web sites and cloud
applications, they'll also be on topic. I don't think this means that
any application or web service will automatically be on topic though,
but only those that tie back to a piece of consumer electronics or
appliance.
Although I understand where Dave is coming from, and he has my complete
support, I hope this doesn't send us down a slippery slope. For example,
there are plenty of mailing lists for the iPhone, and I'd hate to see
this list get swamped with messages about the AppStore, iCloud and the
like. I'd still like to be able to hear about consumer electronics other
than the iPhone. BTW, I'm just using the iPhone as an example, although
it is true that I don't yet own any devices from Apple.
Electronics-talk -- Discussion of accessible electronics and appliances
About Electronics-talk
English (USA)
This list is intended for the sharing of information about, and
discussion of the accessibility of various consumer electronics devices.
Sharing of information about, and discussion of MP3 players; cell phones
and other telephones; DVD players, receivers and other stereo and video
components; satellite and HD radios; and household appliances including
microwaves, washers, dryers, stoves, and the like; is appropriate and
encouraged. With more and more devices having inaccessible controls or
displays, a place to share information and experiences is needed. It is
also hoped that this list will divert such discussions from other
NFB-sponsored lists, where it is not appropriate.
