I would agree with the attached sentiment, in that an iPhone is going to
have more polished accessibility out of the box than an Android phone,
but an Android phone from a year and a half ago was probably running
Android 2.3. If you get a newer Android phone, one which runs Android
4.0 or can be upgraded to Android 4.0, then I think you'll find the gap
is even narrower. For example, the requirement to have a separate device
(like a keyboard, a D pad and so on) for navigation is no longer there.
Androind 4.0 also comes with Talk Back, and you can enable it without
sighted assistance. Accessibility on the Android platform is moving
quickly, so you need to be careful making comparisons from even a year
and a half ago.
