[Electronics-talk] labelling audio cables

Okay, labeling the cables is easy enough. But how do you label the jacks on
the rear of the amp or receiver? The jacks are usually spaced so closely
together that there is not enough room to stikc Braille or Dymo labels or
even tactile dots or markers. This wasn't such a big problem in the good
old days of two-channel stereo equipment, but today's crop of multichannel
home theater receivers presents a daunting challenge, whit literally dozens
and dozens of audio and video jacks on the rear panel. So even if you label
the cables, how do you know where to connect them if you can't stick labels
next to the corresponding set of jacks? ?
