[Electronics-talk] is there such a thing: Bluetooth Question

I believe that there are at least two Bluetooth protocols. Usually, the
signal will travel about 40 feet, but someone told me that there is a
new protocol with a signal distance of over 100 feet. I do not believe
that price makes any difference.

Question
Does the distance of Bluetooth vary along with price, and, does it
penetrate walls?
