You connect with your user name, because you don't use the phone at all,
unless you purchase skype out, or whatever it's called, which does use a
phone. pam.

Hi,
Well I have one, but only for 3 months, it looks like. I thought I had to
have one. How do you connect if you don't have a number?
Thanks
Lauren, sock-footed at home for a few months until barefooted at home again.

. To think that I know what's best for anyone else is to be out of my
business. Even in the name of love, it is pure arrogance, and the result is
tension, anxiety, and fear. Do I know what's right for me? That is my only
business. Let me work with that before I try to solve problems for you.

I can't help you much with Skype on windows, but, I can clear up a few
things. basically, you do not need a phone number to use Skype. You need
to go to www.skype.com

and set up your account there.

When your friend says she can see you, I she means that once you've signed
in to Skype and your friend is signed in and authorized, she can see your
online presence but only jso far as Skype is concerned.
