I think you can only make calls to a phone if you purchase the version that
allows you to do that. I know it used to be called skypeout, but I don't
know if it still is. The free version is just computer to computer. Pam.

My understanding is that you don't need a phone number to make a skype
to Skype call, but you will need a number if you're going to call
someone on their cell phone or land line number.
