1. Find the downloaded .zip file, usually in My Documents. If this isn't where
you want the file, move it where you want it in your usual way.
2. You really need to do the rest with Windows Explorer. Open Windows Explorer
with WindowsKey-e, navigate to the My Documents folder, highlight the .zip file
by selecting it, then press the ContextKey, also known as the Applications key,
and down-arrow until you hear "Extract All". Press Enter.
3. Press Tab, and hear "Next". Press spacebar to select Next, and keep pressing
Tab until you hear "Next" again. Press Spacebar to select Next again.
Follow the progress statements. When it asks if you want it to show extracted
files uncheck that selection, and tab over once to "Finish". Hit enter.
You will find both the original .zip file, which you can delete, and at the
bottom of the fileList, a new directory bearing the name of the book. This
last, the directory and all its files, are what you want to copy to the root of
your flashcard. Just do a ctrl-x on the directoryname, and Ctrl-v inside the
root of your flashcard.
Hit Alt-f4 to close Windows Explorer.
To learn how much room you have left on your flashcard:
1. Open Windows Explorer, WinKey-e.
2. Navigate to, but not into, your flashcard. While sitting on your flashcard
designation, press the Context Key and arrow down to Properties. Hit Enter,
then, Hit Insert-Plus on the numeric keypad, then start reading down line by
line with the 2 key on the numeric keypad. You'll hear all about the size of the
flash card and its formatted capacity, how much room is used, and how much is
left.
Hope all this helps.

Subject: [Electronics-talk] nls bard question
Hi all,
I have a few questions on nls books. I am trying to use bard.
I assume I save the zipped file to the hard drive as opposed to opening it.
once that is done, how do I get it to a usb drive for playing on the vr stratus
or digital nls player?
Do I have to create a folder for each book and then copy unzipped files into
it?
Also, how many books might fit on a 4 gb USB drive?
Also, what media can the digital nls player play? Is it just mp3 files and daisy
files?
Thanks.
Ashley
