[Electronics-talk] Typing faster on the Iphone?

Make sure the iPhone is set to Touch Typing. This will allow you to slide
your finger around, hear the letter name that you are touching, and the
phonetic name if you keep your finger their long enough. Once you are sure
you are on the letter you want, lift your finger. Just keep sliding your
finger around until you hear what you want. If you are on a key adjacent to
the key you want, you might find rolling your finger slightly toward the
desired key is more accurate than sliding over to that key. This is
especially true when you are in a vehicle, or working with only one hand.
Some keys like the Shift will still require a 1-finger double tap or a
split, it is your preference. Keep in mind that you do not have to be
totally accurate as the iPhone does have some word prediction ability.

I still have the iPhone 4, so can't testify to the use of Siri.

HTH,
Annette

Subject: [Electronics-talk] Typing faster on the Iphone?

Hi all, I just got an Iphone, and while I am half way decent at composing
messages, I hate the fact that I can't type fast on it. I am so used to a
regular keypad with numbers haha. Now, I downloaded flekci, and while it is
great, I wish I didn't have to copy and paste and swich windows to get the
text in a message or something. I wish texts would appear in the flekci
window so they can be replied to there instead of havin to go to the app
switcher to swich. Any help? I am thinking about getting a case with a
bluetooth keyboard built in.
