[Electronics-talk] Typing faster on the Iphone?

With IOS 6, you don't need to split or double tap on the shift or delete
keys when touch typing. You still need to split/double tap the
return/search key though. You can activate the shift or delete keys just
like any other key, by lifting your finger.

Split tapping is another option. With split tapping, you find the key
you want to enter with one finger, and then while keeping that finger on
the screen, you tap the screen somewhere else with another finger. I
prefer this when typing with one hand, while I prefer touch typing when
using both hands or thumbs actually.
