Pandora has the same problem -- yes, even under iOS 7.1.2 -- but it's not
really a problem. But it can sure be a pain.

No, this is not new. I had this same problem in IOS 7 and maybe even IOS 6.
It does behave a lot like the focus issue in IOS 8. I've heard this is in
the Netflix app and that Netflix hasn't been very responsive to improving
accessibility. Note, I've only heard this second hand.
