No, time warner and comcast have not merged, and 
such a thing is unlikely.  Since they are the #1 
and #2 cable companies, letting them merge would 
create unacceptable antitrust and monopoly 
problems.  While the government has become 
somewhat lax on mergers, I don't think even they could swallow that one.
