[Electronics-talk] talking kitchen timers?

To add to the suggestions already given, you might want to consider a sports
arm band for your iPhone. This will allow you to strap the iPhone to your
arm. Most of the cases are designed to protect the phone from moisture.
There is a plastic sheet over the screen that you access the phone right
through. This would protect your phone from anything that might be on your
hands when you go to access the screen. It would be easy and safe to wipe
off the case with a damp cloth.

Hi,

Here are a couple suggestions that may save you money and protect your phone
from possible damage, if that is your concern.

1. Put your phone in a ziplock if you are afraid of spilling on it. The
timer there is so easy to use with Siri.

2. Alternatively, connect it to a loud speaker or

3. Use a bluetooth speaker or earphone to monitor the phone while leaving
the phone in another location.

Warm Regards,

Fred

Hi,
I have a Sharp calculator that has a talking timer on it, my iPhone which
has a talking timer on it, thanks to VO, but I don't want to bring either of
those in the kitchen with me so I purchased one from ILA that said it was
supposed to talk, but I can only get it to tell me the time and that's even
wrong so I can't use it for a clock either as I can't set it. I called and
asked if they had any that talked while setting it and they said no. Do any
of you know of any that will talk me through
setting it or just an accessible one? I am totally blind. Thank you.

To succeed, work your tongue little, your hands much, and your brains most.
