[Electronics-talk] considering switching email providers

I'm not sure I follow the message below, but I want my email synced
between my devices specifically because I don't want to deal with the
same message more than once, which is exactly why I switched from POP3
to IMAP. If I move a message to a folder on my smart phone or tablet
then it's in that folder when I check it on my PC. If I delete a message
on my PC then I never see it on my mobile devices.
You can also mess with the POP3 settings so that messages you delete on
your mobile device are deleted from the server and when you check your
messages on the PC they're downloaded to your PC and deleted from the
server.
I for one am not sure why anyone wouldn't use IMAP and wouldn't want
their messages synced across their devices, but I'm only familiar with
how I use email and I would never presume to know more about what
someone else wants to do with their email then they know themselves.
