Other than a blind person worrying about taking a good photo, I do not
understand why there would be resistance to including a photo.

Taking your picture, or using a pre-existing picture of yourself, as a
blind person, should really be a no-brainer. When one of you is visually
impaired it would make sense to make sure the driver knows who to look
for. In addition to a picture, I always text my driver and let him know
I am blind and usually where I will be standing. Of course I try to make
things simple for everyone, and I find a picture definitely helps.

Yes, this is actually the question that I have had as I have not used
the service yet as not sure how I would know when the vehicle arrives or
more, where it is as in a busy parking lot.

They want one, but it is not needed. Now, having said that, I could see
one advantage of having one for a blind person. It would make it easier
for the driver to find you, as unless you have vision, or have a sighted
person with you, you will not be able to identify the car, as Uber
drivers use their own vehicles, and there is nothing on the vehicle to
help to identify it as an Uber vehicle.

Say what? Why does Uber need a picture? I've used it for several months
and never encountered a situation in which a pic was needed.
