[Electronics-talk] intercom for door

My suggestion would be just a simple wireless doorbell system. You can
usually find these in 2 types... battery operated or one that has to be
plugged into an outlet. It has one receiver and one transmitter and has
approx 10 different chimes you can choose from. Put the transmitter outside
the door and the receiver inside your apartment where you can hear it
easily. It's cheaper than an intercom system and is easy to take with you if
you move.

Hi,
You might try QVC, or Google them. I have one I really like but it was on
the expensive side. It has adjustable volume, quite a few songs and
capability for me to record a short ditty on it. It did involve some
installation but my maintenance guy did that for me.
Thanks

Hi All,
I am looking for and hoping to find a door bell/intercom system. I live in
an apartment, so I do not want something that requires a carpenter to
install or is costly. I do however live on the 2nd floor and for some
reason, when people knock on the door on the 1st level, I seem to rarely
hear them. This is creating a problem, especially for deliveries. Does
anyone have suggestions for a great, yet inexpensive intercom system? Thank
you
