Hello Ashley,

Don't forget about BookShare as a source of unprotected Daisy books.
It also plays EBooks from many sources and now that there's a program
named Codex which enables one to unprotect/convert Ebooks from Kindle,
Nook, etc for personal use, those can be read on this player as well.
It supports many audio file types, so unprotected audiobooks and music
files are no problem. If there are any questions regarding this new
player, I urge anyone to listen to the interview on Blind Bargains on
which I also demonstrated this player. Here's the info:

Blind Bargains Podcast #40: http://www.blindbargains.com/bargains.php?m=13737

If you still have other questions you can of course contact me.

Merry Christmas all!

Laz

Hello,
If the player does not play nls or learning ally books, then what kinds of
books does it play?
Maybe they meant it plays unprotected ebooks like those you'd download off a
website such as Project Gutenberg.
Daisy is a format that is protected somehow and I thought could only be
played on certain players, mainly those from blindness vendors.
Of course, not all daisy books are via nls or learning ally,  but for blind
users, these are major sources of books.
And what sort of audio books will it play? I would imagine standard audio
files like WMA, WAV or mp3 formats.
That excludes audible. This means that it might play commercial audiobooks.
