Allen
I would be interested in purchasing your used thermostat if you still have
it.

If so, contact me offlist.

The VIP Talking Thermostat is great. It can be used as programmable or just
set the temperature yourself when you wish.

This is stated clearly on the web page, but if you have a heat pump, you
will need the VIP 3000 which is about $200. If you have oil or gas heat
combined with an AC unit, you can use the 1000 which is about $150.

I had oil heat and used the 1000 model, but then I switched to a heat pump
and now have the 3000 model. Both units have been great.

I still have the 1000 model since I had to replace it when I switched from
oil, and I would be willing to sell it for $50 if interested.

I also had a Honeywell thermostat at one point which was not programmable,
but it had raised tactile numbers so that you could tell what temperature
you had moved the slide to.

Good luck with your search.
