>From what I've experienced with radios in ballparks or stadiums, seating
placement plays a great deal on reception. If the team's broadcast is on
the fm brand, it is usually good, but steel and concrete slabs could cause
some hissing in the background.
If the broadcast comes from an am station, signal is bad. Again, steel and
concrete.
Here in Phoenix, The Talking Stick Arena and the Bank One Ballpark has no
delay on their radio broadcasts. But I will warn you, should you use an app
such as the MLB At Bat app, you can find a huge delay in the action on the
field.
When I used this app last year here at home, the delay was about 8 seconds.
One of my sisters' delay was almost a minute. Cellphone service providers
differs greatly.
If you choose to use the audible devices that most teams provide, I find
them to be horrible. The worst technology I've seen in a long time.
And let me say in closing. I don't care what kind or brand of earbuds or
headset you use at a game. When the crowd gets loud, you can't hear a
thing.
