Dear All,
Buttons are not needed as the buttons are virtual today.
The use of Voice Over, with its system of finger gestures is used to move
around the touch screen and as your finger passes over an icon the phone
reads it aloud to you.
Tapping the button activates the option and just flicking your finger up,
down, right or left moves the cursor across the screen, from icon to icon.
Double tapping on the icon activates it and moves you from one screen to
another or from one level in a menu to another.
Phyisical buttons are not neded.
David Evans, NFBF and GD Jack.

Because the Nokia phone at least has buttons. Pam.

Why? The Nokia phones aren't being made anymore. The OS died years ago, so
why support a product when the hardware and OS are no longer being
manufactured or supported.

I wish they had an update for the nokia for people who don't want an iPhone.
Pam.

I am having better success reading stuff with the KNFB iPhone app than I was
having with the old Nokia.

I have not gotten my phone to read a restaurant menu yet, and I've had it
since 2013. I have the n95 with the Kyrzweil. It reads some things fine,
but I haven't gotten it to read the restaurant menu. Pam.

I've used it several times to read a restaurant menu. I think it misses
some things, but I know a lot more than I would otherwise. Beats the heck
out of the "What do you have?" "What do you want?" circle.

It is meant for mobile use, i. e. reading handouts at conferences, scanning
mail, etc.

It uses the iPhone and its camera to scan and read printed material out
loud. It is normally $99 but if you buy it before july 10 it is $74.95.

Hi folks.
I accidentally blew away David Andrews' note on the reduced price for the
KNFB reader. Can somebody get me smart, what does this app do and how much
is it now? How long will the sale last?
