It's all about choice. Life would be a lot different if we only focused
on needs. Heck! You don't even need a bed, but folks spend hundreds or
even thousands of dollars on a bed.

That sounds great! sort of what I was looking for before I got the
Keurig. I got a single serve Keurig that doesn't have all the on-screen
stuff to navigate. I am pretty happy with it, but when it breaks, will
certainly consider a less expensive model.

Gerald:

I don't get it, either. So I agree with you. In fact, I won't pay more
than
$10 for a coffee-maker and I don't even get why people want single-serve
systems when I go through ten cups a day! (smirk)

But people, not excepting blind people, want to kee up with the Jones's,
I suppose. (big grin)

Mike

Can somebody explain this obsession withKeurig coffee makers, which do
not seem to be especially blind friendly? Last year, just after
Thanksgiving, I snapped up a KitchenSelectives CM688 Single Serve Coffee
Maker from Bont-Ton for only $9. It is totally blind accessible, and
brews a perfect 12 ounce mug of my favorite coffee in less than 3
minutes. All I have to do is fill the water reservoir up to the desired
quantity (8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz , or 14
oz) by feelingthe the respective 4 raised, tactile vertical line
embossed on the inside back of the reservoir, add about 3 teaspoons of
my favorite regular ground coffee to the filter basket, which contains a
removable, permanent mesh filter, place the included 12 oz ceramic mug
on the base, and flip the rocker power switchc on. In less than 3
minutes, I have a full mug of delicious, piping hot joe, to which I add
some sugar and Coffee-Mate.
What could be easier? No confusing onscreen menus to navigate or array
of buttons to select mug size or temperature or other such nonsense.
And cleanup is a breeze. I just remove the filter basket and rinse the
coffee grounds down the drain under the kitchen faucet. No overpriced
and overrated Keurig coffee maker for me!!!

Hello Danielle, one thing that I can suggest is to have a sited person
come over and program the cup size that you think that you would
typically use and once that is done, whenever you press the coffee
button it will deliver that size cup every time. That is how my
sister-in-law's is set up at her house.

Well can someone tell me how to use it. I bought one quite some time ago
from QVC that I gave away. I just looked at it and it might not be
usable after all. It only has 2 buttons on it. One on the top right side
on some type of vertical angle and a small screen under it and then the
second button. Both buttons are square. They don't use it so if I can
figure out how I may as well. Some day I'll buy me another one. First I
need to figure out which one and how to work the darn thing.
