[Electronics-Talk] Evernote; was Voice recorder

I think there is a free limited access option, but I'm not sure. There
appears to be 2 levels of storage that are fee based according to the Apple
App store . The lower options appears to be approximately $3 per month or
$25 per year, and a larger storage option for $6 per month or $50 per year.
I did not have time to look at the website.

Annette

Hi Annette,

I just wanted to ask how much Evernote was? A subscription or a single
purchase?

Also, wanted to mention a free app named SuperNote which allows you to have
recordings associated with typed notes, but they do not sync to the location
in the recording as you described with Evernote, only with the recording
itself. It's very simple to operate.

Hi Anna,

I do not know the answer to your Voice Recorder issue, but you might want to
check out Evernote. I've just started to look at it. It looks like you can
access your recordings across platforms. It also sounds like you can type
notes while you are recording and the notes will be synced with the
recording. So if the instructor is discussing the 5 points of a topic, you
type the name of each point and no other info about that point. When you go
back and review your recording and notes, you can move to the individual
points in your written notes and the recording will jump to the point in the
recording where the instructor was talking about it. Again, I'm just
beginning to look at this, but have not had the time to put into it.

HTH,
Annette

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] Voice recorder

Hi, I'm not sure where the most appropriate place to post this would be. I
just have a question about voice recorder on the Iphone.
I have been recording some very important information in the voice recorder
app, that I often need to refer back to for school.
Usually it works fine. But recently I have had issues occasionally where I
will record, everything looks good and then on some occasion when I go to
play it back it will not play. Usually I have listened to these recordings
multiple times before. So I know the issue is not that it didn't record
properly. When I can't get it to play, everything looks normal (it still
shows that there are a certain number of minutes of recording as there
should be. And I can move the slider, and I can press play, but nothing
happens. This is only happening to a very few recordings, with working ones
in between. Does anyone have any ideas?
Also, are those recordings backed up somewhere? Or are the ones that don't
work anymore gone forever? If so, is there a way to back them up when I
first record them or a better way to record them. I like doing it on my
phone because then I can play it back anywhere anytime cause I always have
my phone.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
