So, in answer to Arlene’s question: I have played with an older-model Gusto, and didn’t like the tedium of texting, and have a gut feeling it won’t do as well at internet as I’d like. My first phone was a Haven, when I wasn’t ready to consider a more complicated phone. After the Gusto, I had an LGNV3, which was, again, quite slow and tedious, though I liked that it was flat and compact and generally accessible. Finally—and just for practice, I’ve never been motivated to use it in real life—I’m now living with an Odin Mobile Nexus 5. Odin, for a very brief time, carried a Clariavox, which would have given me both audio and tactile features and decent Internet, but again, I found out about it AFTER it was discontinued! So, those are the ones I’ve actually played with/used, and I have seen a few Iphones, but don’t like touch screens (though an overlay could make me more motivated, when I have a bunch of loose jingle to spend, which is not true right now), and don’t care for the speech and the sounds when it notifies you you are somewhere—chalk it up to mild Asperger’s! Of course, I don’t know the Iphone well enough to dismiss its speech out-of-hand: I tend to go for low male voices, and bass-boost, and haven’t had enough experience/feedback from others to know whether I could adjust it to my preferences...
