When I bought Grundig radios in this country, I didn't have to set them to
10kc. It was already set for that. The setting for 9kc was there, but it
was not set for that. I had one of those of the model you are talking
about, and I also had a Satelit 500. Pam.

Hello,
Radio Shack sold Yatt Boy radios by Grundig! This is a German Company!
That doesn't mean the radios were made in Germany! They often were set up
by European standards. Usually what they call the long wave band was set
to 9 KHZ tuning rather than 10 Khz steps. I unfortunately can't remember
how to change to 10 KHZ steps. I do know this is simple to change! I once
had that radio and once I changed to 10 khz tuning, the radio tuned
properly.
