[Electronics-Talk] Cable box Accessibility

I just got a replacement cable box that is new, and it still has RCA jacks
on the back. But I agree; it is good to check. Pam.

If you already have cable, you could just use the cable box and run it
through your sound system. I'm not sure about the other companies, but
comcast has some cable boxes that do not have analog outputs so if you are
asking for a cable box, make sure it has the right kind of connections for
your system.
A lot of the TV converter boxes for old tv's had audio output jacks for
running in to a sound system. You might be able to find one of them at a
thrift store for a few bucks.

I had one that could do both UHF and VHF a while ago. This was a radio
you would put on a table and had no braille on it at all and was tall
and thin about half the size of a braille book standing on its side.
The radio had a carrying handle on its top built in and a telescopic
antenna in addition to the TV capability. I don't remember the brand
and model now since that was a few years ago.
