If you have an older tv or you just want to listen to tv, you can get a
converter box made by r c a from walmart which is about $50. The features
are, cowaxal digital antena input, tv output cowaxal, r c a video, h d m i
output, sterio left and right, r c a pphono out, usb ports for an external
harddrive so you can record. It's an easy set up. Just connect a digital
antenna to the digital antenna input. Plug the unit into the power. Then
turn the unit on for the first time, at that point it will go into scan
mode. It will take a while to complete. Then it will come up to a tv channel
which you will hear. It must be hooked up to an audio system to hear the
output, unless you have it connected to a tv. This particular unit comes
with a remote. We're still learning about it, it's new to us.The audio is
very good and we record from it all the time. If anyone wants a sample of a
recording we'll send one.We think, so far so good. We need to learn the
remote. We know how to directly enter a channel number or go up and down
from channel to channel. There's 40 buttons on the remote. On the actual
unit you have a power button, and up and down buttons for the channels,
that's a total of 3 buttons on the front of the machine. One last thing, it
has a input for the electrical adapter. It receives channels as good as our
32-inch digital tv. That's all we know about it so far.
