[Electronics-Talk] [EXTERNAL] iphone apps for bar code identification

Hello everyone.
I had no good luck with finding barcodes in Digit-eyes either. That's why I too moved into the ID Mate Omni years ago. It is a phenomenal product and worked very well. It found the barcodes quickly without much effort. I also liked that the scanner gives package information and instructions such as cooking directions, nutrition information, etc. You can get your grams of fat, fiber, calories, etc. I also like that it is a standalone unit and you are not killing your cell phone battery. then, in 2011 at a NFB Convention, I moved into the ID Mate Summit. From the demonstration at convention, The ID Mate Summit has a lot more features over the Omni. It is also smaller than the Omni. Unfortunately, when I got home from convention, life got busy and the Summit sat in its box on a shelf in my closet. It is in brand-new condition. It has a neck strap (never worn). It comes in a carrying case that also has a strap (never used). It has a four gig storage card with the current database on it. The unit comes with a 2 -gig storage card, but I upgraded to 4. I like to keep the scanner up to date. It has all the materials that were shipped with the scanner, such as: A print Users Guide, an audio CD Users Guide, a Warranty Card with serial number, a Database Update Card, 33 barcode tags, 33 barcode iron-on labels, and 34 barcode adhesive labels. I paid $1299 plus $25 shipping. Despite the fact this is a practically new unit, due to its age, I know I would not get full asking Price, but I am not going to give away my unit. I am, however, willing to entertain any sensible, reasonable offers. If, anyone is interested, please feel free to write me off list. Thank you.
I now have the ID Mate Galaxy and do not need to have 2 scanners.
Regards,
Gadget Girl
