[Electronics-Talk] iPhone Voice Is Different after Updating

I use the Samantha voice for voiceover. After one of the updates, her voice changed. I didn't like it. What I found, after asking on lists such as this, was, that it was the enhanced voice that the update changed. If you go back to the default, all is well again.

  I don't think this is possible. Apple stops signing old versions of IOS 
  within a few days after new versions are released.

  It's already been suggested, but I'd check the Speech settings under 
  VoiceOver to make sure you're using the enhanced voice.
