I have no idea why any company starts and then stops something: maybe not
enough people used it, or maybe also changes in management with different
ideas about what is needed, or budget, all kinds of reasons. Pam.

Hello,
That's too bad GE no longer has braille overlays. why did they stop?
Does any appliance maker do this anymore? Whirlpool?

I remember when I first moved into this building in 1984, the appliances
were GE. I had heard that GE made overlays for stoves and ovens. So, I
called them, and found out that they no longer did that. They just had
overlays for microwave ovens. And now, I guess they don't have that. Pam.

I can confirm that GE no longer provides braille overlays for microwaves. I
did not inquire about other appliances, but I'm guessing they no longer
provide braille overlays for them either.

Whirlpool no longer makes braille overlays, and I'm sure GE has followed
suit.
