I agree with you Pamela. While I am very happy with my IPhone, I know people, particularly older newly blind people who cannot handle the touch screen of the IPhone and need actual buttons. I know sighted people who will not use touch screens either. They still have flip phones they can purchase. Why not for us?

I do not believe that a specialized product of this kind is necessary. The
iPhone is a mainstream product that already incorporates the features
mentioned. There are also accessories offered through 3rd party vendors such
as tactile screen protectors and even a remote control that add
accessibility for people who have special needs. I think that the time for
specialized products in this arena has long since passed.
