FYI, 2 things I suggest! First your using the biggest file format out there. Your best off updating to FLAC format, the FLAC file size is smaller so both you and your customer can store more files in less space for archiving but is LOSS LESS.  Second, People love go daddy but I hate and despise them! If they’re helping you great, but your problem seems to be a problem that shouldn’t even happen. If they end up not being able to fix it contact another hosting company. I’ve used amazon and hostgator both with success.
