[Electronics-Talk] Trump Appoints Anti-Regulation Net Neutrality Enemy to Head FCC

As expected, President Trump has appointed Agit Pai, an opponent of regulation and net neutrality to head the FCC. How this will affect the future of the Telecommunications Accessibility Act of 2010 is unclear,but it is probably not good news.  If Mr. Pai believes that this law places undue restrictions on cable companies and TV manufacturers, he will simply not enforce it or else even move to repeal it.  So for those of you who are waiting for your cable company to offer accessible cable boxes, you may have to keep waiting.  And don’t expect TV manufacturers to flood the market with accessible sets aside from the handful of models currently available.
