Hi there,
I also have an Apple TV. If you get Hulu, and Netflix. You can pretty much watch as much stuff as you want and never be out of things to watch I personally also like CBS because I watch most of the shows, and yes, the soap operas. So, I get a lot of the CBS content. I also get content from other shows and that's kind of nice to. Anyway, you can also use an antenna if it's possible to pick up anything. That's another thing I do. To keep up with what's going on locally.
I understand that sometimes you can't do that. But, check on the stations website, and there might be some streaming options for the local news.
By the time I pay for Hulu, Netflix, and CBS, you pay about the same as table. But, everything is accessible. And. With Apple TV if you want to rent a movie, you can. And, if it is description. It will start doing it on its own if you have descriptive movie On in your settings for Apple TV.
