Hi,  

I just found something similar to the mini guide. 

It is called the Ray sonic mobility aid.

It is much smaller and $200 less than the mini guide.  It is sold by maxi aids and sometimes if you need to call them for more info'the customer service reps are rude.

Has anyone seen one in person or reviews on it?

Any info or knowledge from someone who has seen or has one would be very helpful.
