[Electronics-Talk] room air conditioners

Almost all but the cheapest room air conditioners have flat membrane
touchpads like microwave ovens. But fortunately, they all come with remote
control units that have discrete, tactile buttons, so they are easy to
operate once you learn their layout. And you can always label the touchpad
with tactile markers, if necessary. My two Friedrich CP06G10B 6000 BTU
window air conditioners have remotes with only 9 large, easy to distinguish
buttons.
