[Electronics-Talk] itunes and compatible devices

Dear Ashey:

I sometimes use iTunes on my PC, and it works well for me using JAWS. basically, at least, to take advantage of the playback features, the space bar plays or pauses the music, Control+Period stops, Control+right and left arrows move you to the previous song or next song, ETC. You can get around most navigational issues in iTunes often by selecting an item and pressing the context menu key, then doing whatever is you need to do such as playing or adding to aplaylist.

As for the Victor Reader stream, technically, it does support itunes files. It does not go out to apple store, and synchronize music off the itunes library on the cloud or computer and such, but it can play .M4A files, which is the file format iTunes and other music services now use. So, you can just copy items from your itunes library, which should be in your music folder on your PC, to the $VRMusic folder on the Stream's SD card. That way, you can still play your iTunes media files.

Currently, at least not that I know of, the Amazon echo or the other tablets cannot do itunes at this time.

But hope this helps you!

Sincerely,

Humberto

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to play iTunes music. I have a pc now but playing iTunes music is kind of clunky with jaws as there are so many buttons.
My old ipod nano may not work anymore but I'm looking into this.

What devices can play iTunes? Does the new vr stream do this? I already know the IOS products do but they are mostly touch screen and if I'm listening to music, I'd rather just relax and not have the multiple steps involved of the touch screens and all its apps. I've considered an Ipad pro though for future use.

I plan to buy a new vr stream even without iTunes support but I'd love it if it had iTunes support. Another device I have is Amazon Echo. Does that have iTunes capability?

I hope there are some cheap or medium expensive players out there that might play iTunes content.

Thanks,
Ashley

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
