It's wise to avoid touch panels whether or not you can mark them.
Reason for that will become clear if your stove takes a lightning hit
and then none of the electrical components work on it any longer.
Fortunately we have a gas stove with an all electric the stove would be
a piece of junk by now. This happened over here so it's not impossible.
