[Electronics-Talk] Reading books on a PC

Hi Rik.
I too prefer to stroll about in the fresh air, or play music. But I also
enjoy reading. I spend all my workday tied to a computer, so I don't want
to mess with one much in my free time. I like hardcopy braille, and I like
my Victor Stream for reading audio books. It automatically marks my place.
It's easy to go forward and backward in any increment I want. It has real
keys that are easy to find and use. And it's small enough to hook on my
waistband and carry around while I putter about.
Tracy

Hey, that is interesting to know. Thanks, Tracy.
I have not yet ventured into the Kindle universe or tablet world yet.
But I probably will.
I do get the email newsletter from Flying Blind. I will look for that
article. That is one info packed publication.

I think I also had someone tell me that, there had been an article on
digital reading methods in a recent issue of The Braille Monitor, too.
So much to learn. So little time to ever get caught up. Especially when I
would rather walk in the fresh air and strum a stringed instrument than be
always glued to a device. Though, I am admittedly, glued to one quite a bit
of the time, anyway, because in this information age, reading feels like it
is absolutely required.

Take care.
Rik

Hi Rik.

I don't read books much with my PC, but I see the latest Flying Blind,
posted to the list today, has a link to an article about using Jaws with
Kindle for the PC.
