[Electronics-Talk] Facebook Portal

Has anyone used a Facebook Portal. The webpage says it uses Talk Back which makes me thing it's running Android OS like the Amazon Fire products do with a custom GUI to make it facebookish. What are your thoughts on it, some online reviews are scared becuase it's unforgiving Facebook. if you don't think it's a good idea do you have a suggestion of another device. Reason I'm looking into it is because my wife's mother is looking to give one to my wife's grand mom and wants to give my wife one too . I told her hold on till I figure out if it's accessible.
