Hello,
I had a feeling that they would limit it. Way too many people used and abused it so they could get a free ride.
I agree, I have no problem paying for it.
After a nasty separation I have to use it often, but I had to downgrade to the $20 plan. But I still felt like I should pay for something instead of taking advantage of the 5 minute option.
The folks that abused it to get something for nothing did this. It really sucks that people are always trying to get away with ! something for nothing.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Penkaty soon to be Jennifer Perdue again and alwaysTo: Discussion of accessible home electronics and appliances <electronics-talk at nfbnet.org>

I just moved from Florida to Pennsylvania on August 14th. It was the first time I have made a major move without any useable vision. I have made quite a few moves in my life but I always had some vision before. This time I had no physical help for the seven weeks I had to prepare for the move. On the day I moved I did have three sighted people help move but I was still on my own getting to the Hotel and then getting to the airport the next morning and on the plane. It was only the second time I ever flew commercial. I hate to fly. And I don't care for crowds.
During those seven weeks AIRA helped me many times and I was glad to pay for their services. I do not have the if its for free its for me mentality. I believe in paying for quality services. I don't mind saving for something I want and I don't mind budgeting so I can afford something I need. I have no issues with AIRA limiting their free calls so they can stay in business because I hope they stay around a long time.
I had a friend who helped me with a lot of online stuff. And AIRA walked me through everything from changing addresses to reading labels to finding new landmarks at the new place. Even learning my new washer and dryer I just bought. AIRA even used team viewer and helped me get the correct Keurig so I didn't end up with one with a touch screen. I simply love those people and I recently upgraded my plan because I knew with the recent move I would need them even more than usual.
Merv

Free of course doesn’t keep them alive and important to pay for what I think is a complete game changer. I’m doing this from memory as the plan change today. Free five minutes every 24 hours or If you have a plan then free five minutes every four hours and then with the plans you basically get a little less and dollar cost or a few extra minutes. And the minutes do not roll over at the end of the month. $20 for 30 minutes, $100 for 140 minutes or $200 for 300 minutes. If you run out then the bundles do roll over. $30 for 25 minutes or $50 for 50 minutes or $90 for 100 minutes. Again doing this from memory and if wrong please correct.
