We are seeking a parent of children with blindness or very low vision to help researchers better understand their experiences and their technology accessibility needs and interests.

The Accessibility User Research Collective (AURC) is looking for people to take part in a research project being conducted by Microsoft. The goal of this study is to include individuals living with the challenges of disability in the early phase of product design and to get their reactions and feedback to new product ideas. Researchers want to better understand the accessibility and usability needs and interests of individuals with various disabilities early in the design process.

To be eligible the parent must:

  * Be 18 years of age or older
  * Have a child with with blindness or very low vision
  * Be a parent of child, ages 8-17
  * Prefer English for reading and writing

Participants in this study will be asked to answer questions during a one-hour interview which will include questions that will help researchers to get to know them, and questions about their experience using tools and devices to carry out certain activities. Participants will also review product ideas and provide feedback from their perspective. Participation in this study will take about 60 minutes. After the interview is completed, each participant will receive a $50 stipend for their time and effort.
