TIDBITS POLL: A Reader Asks, "I am looking for a simple turn by turn GPS that will give me information as I walk around without having to hold an extra device or shake my phone to get info. I use to have a Kapten GPS which was very small and read out my location as I was walking without having to enter a destination. I could tag and name special places, though. Does anyone know of something that would fit my needs. I travel with a guide dog and walk a lot.

Answer 1: I have used Nearby Explorer Online and Soundscape apps on my Apple iPhone.

Answer 2: Humanware Victor Reader Trec.

I was interested in the responses to the Tech Tidbits poll on GPS, but they only seem to be available on Facebook. I don't have Facebook, and can't get it because they're sure I'm a robot. Does anyone know if the poll results are available elsewhere? It annoys me when people assume everyone has Facebook.

Tracy
