[Electronics-Talk] copying from an iPhone to USB flash drive

Agreed. A bit of a stretch however, it was on the news a while back where a disgruntled employee got his friends to trash a restaurant on Yelp. The family run restaurant went out of business because of poor ratings. Thus, as you say, I take ratings with a grain of salt and I rarely purchase things on Amazon if the rating is below 4. I also read the ratings especially on Yelp, often you can tell that the one posting the review has sour grapes and expected champaign service but was only willing to pay beer wages. A so called client of mine trashed my business. I never had them as a client.

Ratings are based upon customer reviews.
I have seen ridiculous or inaccurate reviews on Amazon and on other sites where they were slamming the wrong product or, sometimes I believe the competition may encourage negative reviews.
So, I look at reviews as relative. If the review is below 4, I don't always buy the product. That is, if I read through reviews and half of them seem to be fake reviews and there's enough positive reviews, then I may consider the product.
So in short, ratings are a good indication of how good a product is but it's worthwhile to carefully read through a number of reviews.

Found it. Here is an interesting twist. On Amazon.ca website a MFI cable has a rating of 3.5. Yet the same cable on Amazon.com has a rating of 4.1. Even with the exchange rate , the one on .com is still cheaper by about $15. Sometimes buying from the U S is cheaper in the long run, often not though. Still I like to compare. It was the difference in the rating that was interesting.

If you search for Henkur it will be one of the first search results at a price of I believe $7.95 US. The original link did not work for me either but I found it this way.
