There are also better and cleaner environmental ways to dispose of
electronics and old appliances.

Contact your city/county trash disposal department to inquire concerning how
to have them picked up or dropped off at a special recycling facility.
Electronic circuits and components in those circuits can leech toxic
chemicals into the environment which are cancer causing.

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] Finding a new life for old technology

Hello,

I have gathered up my old assistive technology for getting it out of my
house. At some point there were people and/or groups who were gathering
these types of products and finding new homes for them with people who could
make use of them even though they may not work with Windows10, or maybe
cords have been lost. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do with these
items besides putting them at the curb on garbage day?

Thanks,

Annette
