I know I use to be able to go to yellopages.com, but I don't know if that
site is still up. I think the most accurate way too find someone on the
internet is google. I know there are sites like people finder, but you have
to pay to use that site.

Many times with free 411 after it tells you to say what you need whether
it's a business, residence or goverment listing, it will go silent
especially lately. When this happens and it goes silent if you wait long
enought the voice will say something nonsensible, like it found your number
but it wasn't listed because tere's no listing, it says something as silly
as that. I didn't keep track of the time to when the voice finally says
that.. and since you've described what happened with regular directory long
distance I could understand why I've had unsatisfactory experiences calling
the 411 on the phone through the years. I can't remember the last time I
ever called 411, it's been that long that I can't remember. So when I need a
number I just search the place on the internet, and many times I do find the
up to date phone number for businesses. I have had a few times finding
nothing but old phone numbers. Speaking of doctors, we were trying to look
up a number for a doctor that one of us use to go to. We want to look up his
number since we heard that he had passed away in hopes we could find out
more information. As it turns out when I searched his name we got a mixture
of results with his name, from the sites that having listings about doctors
and tell about them and there was a few results from his obituary. So on the
doctors sites he was listed as if he was still alive. Of course that
information should be taken down. Possibly we should have written to these
sites to let them know he had passed away.
