[Electronics-Talk] Ring door bell and the like

We have ring and love it.
Video is part of it, you can’t decouple it.
I am also totally blind so while I don’t need the video, it’s nice to have.
I busted a fedex driver for delivering the wrong package and used it to get a refund from an Amazon seller who claimed he’d shipped what we’d ordered. He hadn’t and I literally had the video to prove it.
I’ve also gotten some cute videos of my kids, and it can be nice if you need to know for sure if someone did or did not come to your house like a tradesman or the like.
I’ve also had conversations over the camera, someone wanting to drop off something (friends from church) and I did the standard “get off my lawn” when we had a door to door salesman who annoyed me. Again, I was glad to tell him I had video of him which I would be more then happy to take to the cops if he didn’t leave when I told him to.

Overall, I’m happy with it.

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] Ring door bell and the like

Hi list,

Wondering if I could get some feedback/ experience from those who have used
Ring Door bell or systems that are similar in terms of having the door bell
notify your i-phone when someone is there with intercome and video or not. I
don't need video as I am totally blind but don't know if this exists without
it. Just want to know which ones work the best and have apps that are
accessible with voice over. thanks
